Book Review: WHISPER OF LOVE by Melissa Foster #BookReview @TastyBookTours @Melissa_Foster

For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world,
but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price.
WHISPER OF LOVE

Tempest Braden adores her family and her small hometown, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be confining. At almost thirty, having watched most of her siblings find true love, she’s anxious to experience her own happily ever after, and the move to Pleasant Hill, Maryland, is just the change she needs. When she rents a room from ruggedly handsome, and closed-off, artist Nash Morgan and his adorable son, Phillip, she thinks she’s found a little slice of heaven on the outskirts of town, where she can concentrate on building her business. That is, if she can ignore the undeniable heat between her and the sinfully hot single father.

When Nash bought his farmette, he had one goal in mind—to provide a loving, stable home for his son. He never imagined he’d be raising Phillip alone, or renting out a room to keep their heads above water. Then again, he never imagined losing his brother, or spending two years sailing around the world with parents who seemed to forget one son was still alive.

Sparks fly from the moment Tempest moves in, and her positive energy and inquisitive nature brings new life into Nash and Phillip’s quiet, confined world. For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world, but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price, leaving him walled off and wary of opening his heart again.

Every time I read a new book from Melissa Foster, I am amazed. She seems to come up with so many fantastic stories.  This story is about Tempest and Nash.

First of all, I love when the author adds a sweet child to the story. I love kids and I really felt the love here. This story is written so well and just makes me want to be there. I can picture it all.

Tempest has moved away from Peaceful Harbor to try to make it on her own, of course she is living with her cousin Jillian. Jillian doesn’t sleep and Tempest needs her sleep. I can relate I need my sleep. Anyway, she decides to find a new place to live and saw an ad for a room for rent. Of course, Jillian says to wait till her cousins can go along to check it all out. But Tempest decided to meet up with this man offering his room without her cousins.

Nash and his young son live on a small farmette, they have chickens and goats. His son Phillip who is 3 follows his dad and helps out. To make a living Nash builds furniture but he is really an awesome artist. He has had some tragedy in his life but right now his life is focus on Phillip. Nash wanted to rent the room to get some more income to live on. He didn’t want any strange type people because he did have his young son.

Tempest went to check out the farmette and met Nash and his adorable son.  Tempest loved it there and loved how Nash treated his son. She could tell he was a very loving and protector of his son.

The story is awesome, really worth reading. The romance is there, the chemistry is there. Most important the love is there. I had goosebumps and felt the love throughout this story. There is such much in this story. I can also relate to the tragedy that Nash had to endure.

This is a 5 star book.

There is romance, lots of sweet moments, and steamy hot sex. A few swear words.

Delicious Desires #3
Sabrina Sol
Releasing Feb 27, 2017
Entangled Brazen

As LA’s
hottest up-and-coming chef, Alexa Montoya is known for her ruby red lipstick,
award-winning arroz con pollo and a penchant for falling for the wrong kind of
men. And when a confrontation with a loser ex-boyfriend lands her in some legal
trouble, she’s forced to call her long-time friend, Dante Perez, to bail her
out. Only this time, Dante seems different, somehow. More gorgeous, more sexy,
more…mouthwateringly irresistible. Suddenly she’s tempted to give the lawyer
much more than a simple thank you…
Dante is tired of seeing Alexa with guys who only know how to steal her money
and break her heart. He’s watched–and waited for–her long enough. Helping
with her legal situation will finally give him a chance to win her over for
good. His plan? He’ll seduce her into finally believing that there’s something
deliciously right between them…

Despite their chemistry, Alexa can’t trust that Dante won’t leave. But Dante
knows how to win a case. And he’ll do whatever it takes to convince Alexa that
she’ll always leave him hungry for more…

“It’s just a massage, Alexa,” he said with a smirk. “Or do you not think you can handle it? I know I can.”

A challenge had been issued—triggering the reaction to prove him wrong. He knew her so well.

“I can totally handle it,” she said as she scooted her ass to the edge of the couch and turned around.

He sighed. “That’s not going to work. Stop being silly and let me do this right.” His hands gripped her arms, and he pulled her closer to him as he sank back into the corner of the couch and positioned her between his legs. “There. That’s better.”

It was better. It was also dangerous.

Her heart raced when his fingers rested on the tops of her shoulders. Gently, he began to squeeze and knead the taut muscles and nerves. His touch burned through the thin fabric of her T-shirt, and she swallowed her breath.

“You are tight,” he murmured as he spread his fingers up and down her arms and then back up to her shoulders.

It felt good. No, better than good. So much better than good.

“Mmm,” she mumbled.

“Just relax. Let all the tension melt away.”

She closed her eyes and leaned farther back until she was totally resting against his broad chest. With one deep breath, she inhaled his scent: woodsy, clean, manly. Her skin heated up a million degrees in response.

He deepened the pressure, and she melted even more.

“Oh, yes,” she moaned at the mix of pleasure and pain. His expert fingers worked the tightness steadily, and it began to dissolve into desire. It had been so long since he’d touched her like this. God, it felt amazing.

“Just like that,” she said on a sigh. “Please. Don’t stop.”

She felt him move behind her until his breath was hot against her ear. “Jesus Christ, Alexa,” he rasped.

A hardness poked against her hip, and she realized she wasn’t the only one on fire. Her hands moved from her own lap to his thighs, and she dug into the fabric of his pants. His breathing became more ragged, and she knew this was no longer just a massage.

He slid his fingers down her arms again, but this time they brushed the sides of her breasts. Her own breath hitched, and her nipples pebbled in response.

That was it. She was gone.

PERFECT FOR YOU by Candis Terry #ReleaseBlast @TastyBookTours @CandisTerry

The Kincade brothers will do what it takes to protect their legacy
but what happens when love gets in the way?
PERFECT FOR YOU

Candis Terry

Meet
the Kincade brothers: they’ll do what it takes to protect their legacy–but
what happens when love gets in the way?
Declan
Kincade has spent so much time chasing success he’s almost forgotten how to
just live. Lately though, his all-business routine has been thrown into
disarray. Brooke Hastings is the best employee Dec’s ever had: polished,
capable, and intelligent. After four years, he’s just realized that she’s also
smoking hot. But their working relationship is too valuable to stake on a
fling, no matter how mind-bendingly pleasurable it promises to be.
What’s worse than never meeting the right man? Finding him, and then working
side-by-side every day while he remains absolutely blind to your existence.
That is, until one temptation-packed road-trip changes everything. Teaching her
gorgeous, driven boss how to cut loose and have fun is the toughest challenge
Brooke’s ever faced. But it’s one that could give both of them exactly what
they need, if Dec will take a chance on a perfect—and perfectly
unexpected—love.

The sunlight caught like spun gold in the wavy strands of her hair. He liked that her face was makeup free, but mostly he liked that she didn’t need a mask to feel confident. Not that he ever planned to date Brooke, but he’d dated a lot of women who’d refused to leave the house until their makeup had been perfectly applied and every hair was in place.

In his mind, all that preparation took away an opportunity for spontaneity. With his busy schedule, sometimes that’s all he could manage—a last minute invite. Brooke had so much sexy going on she didn’t need all that stuff. And today she’d pretty much proved that she was game for the whole spur-of-the-moment thing. Impressive.

“How many business lunches and dinners have I sat through with you, Mr. Kincade?”

He shrugged. “Too many to count.”

“Bingo.” She pointed. “And do you know what you order almost each and every time?”

 “No.”

 “Seared ahi.”

“And the problem with that is?”

 “Boring.”

 “I like ahi.”

“Good for you. But why not expand your horizons? Eating the same old same old every day is like having missionary sex every time the mood strikes.”

And why did she need to bring that up? Because his imagination definitely didn’t need a push in that direction.

“Shake things up.” She waved her hands upward like she was about to take flight. “Be daring. Live a little.”

Damn she was animated. How the hell did someone get like that?

“I’m happy with things the way they are.”

“Are you really?” As she leaned into the table, the unyielding fabric of that tight white tank top across her breasts dominated his attention.

 He didn’t respond.

 Couldn’t.

 He was too . . . distracted.

“You know what they say; all work and no play . . .” she said with a shrug, leaving the remainder of that statement hanging like a noose.

“So you’re saying that eating fish tacos is suddenly going to shake things up in my life?”

“Breaking your same old song and dance routine will. After you’ve opened up the door, anything can happen. Aren’t you the least bit curious?”

The server interrupted them to deliver a large plate of steaming soft tacos, bowls of salsa and sour cream, and two giant froufrou drinks with slices of pineapple and maraschino cherries speared by pink umbrellas.

 Oh hell no.

He was not going to drink something that would immediately revoke his man card. But when Brooke plucked the cherry from her glass, dangled it in the air, and captured it with her tongue, he had second thoughts. By the time she settled the bright pink straw between the soft cushion of her lips and sucked the orange frothy drink into her mouth, he figured he’d be game for just about any damn thing. As long as he could watch her do that all day long.

CAN’T FIGHT THIS FEELING by Miranda Liasson #TeaserTuesday @TastyBookTours @mirandaliasson

CAN’T FIGHT THIS FEELING
Spikonos Brothers #2
Miranda Liasson
Releasing March 7th, 2017

SHE WANTS TO MOVE ON…WITH SOMEONE
BLAND AND BORING…

Widowed
psychologist Maggie McShae is ready to find someone who won’t make her heart
beat fast, her knees grow weak, or make her feel hot and cold at the same time.
No one she can really love, because love brings too much pain.

Drew
Poulos, son of a billionaire, is hiding out in Mirror Lake, working at his
brothers’ brandy company. He inspires those very feelings Maggie’s determined
to avoid. The hunky businessman, who left his high society bride at the altar,
is the last person she’d ever seriously date…but he might just
be perfect for a fling…

HE NEEDS A DATE FOR HIS BROTHER’S
WEDDING…WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN CALM HIS QUIRKY FAMILY…

Drew’s too
heartbroken to ever trust any woman again, but the sexy psychologist is the
perfect person to deflect his family’s attention as his brother marries the woman
Drew once thought was his.
 As
sparks fly, two injured hearts might just find that true love can be even
better the second time around….

He got in her face. And oh, those big brown intelligent eyes
up close, those chiseled cheekbones, so much more defined than her own, which really
were such a waste on a man. That thick, pitch-black hair, so thick a woman’s
fingers could get lost in there.
She tried to back up a step, but he moved forward. “Maybe.
Let’s start by being honest with each other. Do you want me, Maggie?”
“We’re not talking about—that. Back off already.” She pushed
on his chest a little. A mistake. Because it was hard as boulders and made her
knees go weak. “Besides, you just—flinched when I touched you.”
“I think we need to do what you said, talk about it. I
flinched because I felt what I think you feel too. That there’s something going
on between us. What are we going to do about it?”
She flipped her hand dismissively. “It’s all that
touchy-feely stuff we’re doing in front of your family. That has to stop.”
“This has nothing to do with playacting,” he said quietly.
“And I think you know that. “That kiss on the court… It was real.”
“That kiss was…impulsive. Heat of the moment, fueled by our
hard-won victory.” Joking now was not stopping the shivers that were running up
and down her arms. Or the hot and cold coursing through her veins. Somehow, she
sensed how it would be between them. Wild. No holds barred. And God help her,
she wanted that.
She tried to pull some common sense out of her sex-addled
brain. It would be a very bad idea on both their parts to forget their troubles
with a sweaty round of sex, wouldn’t it?

Book Review: SWEET SOUTHERN HEARTS by Susan Schild #BookReview @TastyBookTours @susan_schild

a
humorous, heartwarming story of

new beginnings, do-overs, and self-discovery…

SWEET SOUTHERN HEARTS
Willow Hill Series #3
Susan Schild
Releasing Jan 10th, 2017
Lyrical Press

Susan
Schild welcomes you back to the offbeat Southern town of Willow Hill, North
Carolina, for a humorous, heartwarming story of new beginnings, do-overs, and
self-discovery…

When it comes to marriage, third time’s the charm for Linny Taylor. She’s
thrilled to be on her honeymoon with Jack Avery, Willow Hill’s handsome
veterinarian. But just like the hair-raising white water rafting trip Jack persuades
her to take, newlywed life has plenty of dips and bumps.Jack’s twelve-year-old son is resisting all Linny’s efforts to be the perfect
stepmother, while her own mother, Dottie, begs her to tag along on the first
week of a free-wheeling RV adventure. Who knew women “of a certain age” could
drum up so much trouble? No sooner is Linny sighing with relief at being back
home than she’s helping her frazzled sister with a new baby…and dealing with an
unexpected legacy from her late ex. Life is fuller—and richer—than she ever
imagined, but if there’s one thing Linny’s learned by now, it’s that there’s
always room for another sweet surprise…

This charming and well observed novel about finding the courage to love
after loss will make you smile as well as cry more than a few happy
tears.  Be prepared for a story of true tenderness, humor, and sometimes
nail biting tension. Sweet Southern Hearts delivers all this
and more.” –Holly Chamberlin, author of Summer with my Sisters

I absolutely love this story. I love how the author developed the characters. When reading this story, I can just see it in my mind. I like to be able to picture the story in my mind while reading.
The story involves Linny who just married Jack and are on their honeymoon. Which didn’t last because they were needed back home. Jack has a 12-year-old son and he was having a crisis. During this book Linny had to learn how to deal with a 12-year-old stepson. She has no children of her own.
Then there is Linny’s Mom, her Mom, she is a very interesting character. Well her and her friends (her friends are also very lively and have lots of character) are going on an RV trip, of course they have never driven an RV so they get Linny to come along ( Linny has never driven an RV). Leaving her husband to deal with his son and X-wife.
I really love how this story read. I wasn’t bored with the story and really enjoyed all the plot twist and different things going on. This story is not just a basic book but a fun, romantic, adventure and a mystery all in one book. I am hoping for a 4th book in this series. I have read the first book and haven’t read the second book yet. You could read this book without reading the first two books but I recommend that you would them all.
I want to thank Tasty Book Tours, the Author Susan Schild and Netgalley for letting me read this fun story.
I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s.
