diamond rings are deadlyDiamond Rings are Deadly Things by Rachelle J. Christensen
Adrielle Pyper knows how to plan a wedding, and she is especially good at pleasing bridezillas. But when her biggest client and best friend is murdered just three days before the wedding, Adri’s world falls apart. She moves to the resort town of Sun Valley, Idaho, and starts from scratch. Thanks to Adri’s impeccable taste and unique style, she lands two celebrity clients, and her business seems headed for success–that is, until someone vandalizes the specialty wedding dresses she imported from overseas. The race is on to uncover a secret hidden within the yards of satin and lace before Adri becomes the next victim. With a delightful blend of mystery, toe-curling kisses, humor, and spine-tingling thrills, Diamond Rings are Deadly Things is a romantic suspense novel that will keep you turning pages long into the night.

My Review

What happens when you just need to move somewhere else and start your new business in a positive light? Adrielle Pyper, knows how to plan weddings, she loves to plan weddings. After her best friend is murdered, she needed to start a her own wedding planning business. she move to the resort town of Sun Valley, about an hour and half from her parents. She just wants to plan the perfect wedding for all her brides and nothing is going to stop her, weddings are important.

Of course there is always something that happens, life cant be simple can it? So it seems that when they get their order of wedding dresses, some are missing, one of the more expensive dress is missing. And another dress has a tear in the hemline, Larea, Adri’s business partner/dressmaker says she can fix it, this is the dress for the bridezilla.

While going through dresses, Larea mentions that one of the other dresses needs the hem to be taken out, there is more to the story, but when Adri brings the dress home and starts taking out the hem, she finds more then just thread, she finds pure diamonds, still in rock formation. Certainly someone is looking for these diamonds. The ending of the book makes perfect sense for the title, I loved it.

This book has a lot going, but is perfect, easy to follow along. I loved the writing style for this clean cozy mystery. This book had it all, love, mystery, crafts, weddings, celebrities, just a perfect book to read when you want a good story to put you in a happy mood. I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: All I want for Christmas by Jennifer Gracen

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000032_00050]

Purchase on Amazon—>All I Want for Christmas (Christmas in New York Book 2)

What this book is about:

Cassandra Baines almost has it all: a flourishing career as one of the youngest English Lit assistant professors at NYU, an apartment in a city she adores, and a close circle of lifelong girlfriends that are like sisters. The only thing she doesn’t have is someone special to share it with. She’s been married to her work since Sean McKinnon broke her heart seven years ago.

Musician and bar owner Sean McKinnon keeps busy – too busy for a love life. He blew it with Cassie all those years ago, and no one has held a candle to her since.

But then one fateful night, of all the people in New York City, Cassandra walks into his bar, and he’s drawn to her as strongly as ever. She wants nothing to do with him, but he’s not going to give up so easily.

Can a bit of New York Christmas magic help two people take a second chance on true love?

What I thought:

All I Want for Christmas (Christmas in New York, #2)All I Want for Christmas by Jennifer Gracen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this sweet story about Cassandra and running into her former boyfriend Sean.
Cassandra and her friend Bree went to the tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller center and decided afterwards that the needed to go to a bar, it was a cold New York night and being in a warm place chatting with her BFF would be great.

They walked into an Irish Pub that they thought look warm, and that is where Cassandra saw him, her x-boyfriend from 7 years ago, her only true love!

This story tells us how Cassandra and Sean try to meet up again, rekindle that fire that was never burnt out.

I thought the author Jennifer Gracen did a great job of developing the characters, I felt like I was there, wanting things to work out. This was a great Christmas book to read. Loved the Holiday cheer.

Reading Challenge 2015

I was looking on Pinterest and I found this cool reading challenge. So I was thinking to myself I really want to try this, it is something that I can do. I think there are a few ones on this challenge that will be a challenge.  I have already challenged myself to read 100 books again this year, maybe adding a little spice to my reading list would be great. Any one want to join me on this challenge? I really think it would be fun.
