The Bachelor’s Baby (Montana Born Bachelor Auction #3)

Written by Dani Collins

Synopsis

Your date with Bachelor #3 includes champagne and chocolate in the limo that collects you, a helicopter tour of Marietta and the surrounding mountains and valleys, and dinner at a five star restaurant in Great Falls. While oil baron Linc Brady wines and dines you, a main service will completely clean your home.

Who could resist this tempting offer, but Meg Canon plans to do just that. She is only home to clean out her childhood bedroom for her brother’s new step-daughter and then she’s outta her childhood small town and back to her life in Chicago, but when she meets the sexy, renegade millionaire while she’s stuck in the snow, sparks fly and Meg is tempted to maybe stay a little longer.

Linc Brady is new in town and happy to help a kid in need, but this? Technically he doesn’t owe Meg a damned thing after she bids on him, after setting him up for the Marietta bachelor auction in the first place, but her high-class city polish is his fatal weakness and makes her impossible to forget. When she agrees to come home with him, he makes it clear he’s a confirmed bachelor. This is a one-night thing. One night that turns into nine months and maybe a lifetime…?

My Review

I loved this sweet story, I did think it started out kind of slow, but that did help develop the characters. Meg comes home to clean out her childhood room. Gets stuck in the snow, hot hunk stops to help. sounds like a dream, well the hot hunk part sounds good. She runs into him again in town and had a few words. She ran into the Lily who is setting up the Bachelor Auction to help raise money for Josh, a child that was hurt. Of course it makes perfect sense for Meg to tell Lily about the new bachelor in town.
Linc new in town, notices that Meg and Lily are speaking, not sure about what. Next thing he knows Lily is signing him up for the auction. Not normally something he would do, but he will since it is for a child and he has a weakness for kids in need.
I really loved this story, I loved how it worked out, not easy but turned into a HEA story that is my favorite. even brought emotional tears as I read the ending of the story. It also could be that there are a lot of tears in this story but good. This can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading them all, they all tie in and are good to read.
I did receive this book from NetGalley for an honest review

My Review

This was such a good positive book to read, clean and fun, but also has some adventure, or more like stepping out of your comfort zone.
The Trouble with Flying, by Rachel Morgan is about Sarah, she is leaving England after visiting her sister for three weeks, is going home to South Africa. She is hoping to sleep on the plane, not even in the mood to talk to anyone. Of course the cute guy in the next seat wont let that happen, he is afraid to fly. Aiden is going to visit family in South Africa, he is from England.
I really loved this story, first of all because it was just fun to read, and was well written and you can feel how the characters felt. Second, because everyone loves a good young love and third, well I have never read anything from an Author in South Africa, I have actually no idea what life is like there and found that part interesting. There are words, phrases and some of the ways they live that are different then mine in the USA, but not really different just interesting. The Author does explain at the end of the story the meaning of the words.

I gave this book a Five Star Rating 🙂

I loved that it is a clean book. Worth reading.

Dark. It’s all dark. Darker than you could ever possibly imagine. Not even acandle can flicker an incandescent light in front of me. Even now, years after I escaped,I’m still living in darkness. I’m still running.
I’ve spent my entire life gazing at the stars, wondering if I’ll ever get to live in the light. It must be dazzling and wonderful.
You’ve read about tortured souls, but you’ve never read about mine.I was taken before I was even born. It was my destiny and written in my stars.
My soul’s not just tortured, it’s unrepairable and hollow. I left part of it back in Hell, and I can’t go back. I won’t go back. Not ever.
You think you’ve read it all?
You haven’t.
And sadly … it’s all true. It happened to me. And I hate that it’s my life.

I shouldn’t be alive.Life was never my own. Nothing was given to me and everything was taken from me.I ran. I fought. I stayed alive. Well, my body survived, my mind didn’t.
I’m damaged beyond repair.I live on my nerves.I feel emotions bigger than myself, and I am many things.
Vulnerable
Anxious.
.
Paranoid.
Guarded.
.
Ashamed.
Dirty.
Exposed.
And I feel alone.

I pray that one day I will be free. But that means placing trust and letting someone in.
Would they make me brighter? Would they make me believe? Would I make them dark?
I’ve never wanted to feel for someone else because I’m far too broken and deep. It scares me. I don’t trust easily. I’m curious, but I’m nervous.
I’ve never felt lust, or love, or light.

Until now.

I feel Lucca Caruso, and everything he symbolises.
He desires me. He wants me. He worships me. He loves me. He protects me. He makes me feel alive. He sets my body on fire. He melts my heart. He gives me him. All of him.
He is lust.
He is love.
He is light.
I trust him.
I want him.
I need him.

He is everything I have fought my entire life to avoid. He makes me feel.
He is taking me places I never imagined could be possible. He is giving me new life. He is keeping me in his light. He is giving me his heart, body, mind, and soul. I love it … I love him.And there is no other place I want to be other than in his arms.
With Lucca … I feel like I can breathe.I’m alive. I need him to keep me here.
I’m Lexi and this is my story about a world of darkness and a journey towards the light.

Meet the Author

sj molloy

SJ Molloy, British Author of ‘The Luminara Series’ was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a young child, her family moved and raised her in Lanarkshire, Scotland where she currently resides with her husband, two daughters and her energetic, hyperactive loving gun dog who is utterly spoiled.

SJ is a qualified Fitness Instructor and Health & Fitness Motivator of various fitness styles and disciplines. Music and dance aerobics have always been a pleasure and passion for her. SJ will sporadically make up dance style routines at any hour of the day when a move comes to her or piece of music moves or inspires her. Currently not teaching classes, she is focusing her time into nurturing her yearning passion for creative writing, exchanging one visualisation for another.

As a child, SJ loved to write in journals and make up short stories and has a flare for all things creative. With an overactive imagination at times, SJ adores to make notes, visualise scenes and settings to create characterisations.

While on holiday with her family one summer reading book after book, she had a flash of inspiration and has had various ideas whirling around in her mind ever since. It was not until she pulled back on teaching classes that she found the courage, time and insight into actually bringing these ideas to life.

In February 2013 she decided to bring that imagination to light by beginning her writing journey with ‘Lussuria’ the first instalment in ‘The Luminara Series’. ‘Lussuria’ was first published late November 2013, then re-published in April 2014. ‘L’amore’ the second instalment was published in June 2014.

Being a self-confessed book junkie, she loves nothing better than to get lost in an emotional and moving book. A true romantic at heart, her guilty pleasure is reading heart-warming, passionate stories and falling in love with her favourite fictional characters.

With nine books already mapped out in ‘The Luminara Series’, SJ’s busy creative mind has already planned two more fictitious novels, both stand-alone romance books and very different in their own right.

When she is not writing or reading, spending time with family and friends or exercising and walking her dog, SJ loves all things practical and creative. Dancing, music, cooking, travelling, good food and wine and painting are her favourite past times along with laughter, lots and lots of laughter.

My Review

What happens when you just need to move somewhere else and start your new business in a positive light? Adrielle Pyper, knows how to plan weddings, she loves to plan weddings. After her best friend is murdered, she needed to start a her own wedding planning business. she move to the resort town of Sun Valley, about an hour and half from her parents. She just wants to plan the perfect wedding for all her brides and nothing is going to stop her, weddings are important.

Of course there is always something that happens, life cant be simple can it? So it seems that when they get their order of wedding dresses, some are missing, one of the more expensive dress is missing. And another dress has a tear in the hemline, Larea, Adri’s business partner/dressmaker says she can fix it, this is the dress for the bridezilla.

While going through dresses, Larea mentions that one of the other dresses needs the hem to be taken out, there is more to the story, but when Adri brings the dress home and starts taking out the hem, she finds more then just thread, she finds pure diamonds, still in rock formation. Certainly someone is looking for these diamonds. The ending of the book makes perfect sense for the title, I loved it.

This book has a lot going, but is perfect, easy to follow along. I loved the writing style for this clean cozy mystery. This book had it all, love, mystery, crafts, weddings, celebrities, just a perfect book to read when you want a good story to put you in a happy mood. I highly recommend this book.

A Cowgirl's ChristmasA Cowgirl’s Christmas by C.J. Carmichael

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow this was an awesome story, I just loved the love that was there.
A Cowgirl’s Christmas by CJ Carmichael was a really sweet story, that had me wondering what was going to happen next.
I think trying to run a ranch and having all girls could be hard, what is harder is being the youngest and loving the ranch and her Father until something happens.
After her Father passes her and her sisters find her mother’s diary. They were so surprise and now knew why their Father was the way he was.
This was a really good story to read, very tender yet exciting.

I received this book from Netgally for an honest opinion.

What Goodreads says about the book:

For years Callan Carrigan has been her father’s right hand man, so when her dad’s will names city slicker Court McAllister the new owner of The Circle C Ranch, Callan feels betrayed on every level.

Then she and her sisters find their mother’s diaries, hidden from them by their father since their mother’s accidental death 18 years ago, and the shocking revelations explain a lot. Reeling, Callan seeks refuge in the local saloon, where it seems no one can reach her, until Court offers her a challenge.

If she agrees to be foreman at the Circle C for one year, he’ll deed the ranch back to her and her sisters. The deal seems too sweet at first—until Callan realizes Court has his eyes on something she protects even more than her family’s land—her heart.
