beginning to look a lot like love . .
approaches, Deputy Jill Flaherty decides it’s time to live a little. When she
walks into Sawyer Anderson’s bar in her sexiest dress, she’s not thinking that
he’s her brother’s best friend or about the many women he dated during his
years as a pro hockey player. All she’s thinking is that it’s finally time to
confess to her longtime crush how she truly feels.
off the ice. Yet no one in the small town of Christmas seems to believe he’s
ready to settle down, not Jill, and certainly not Jack, who is determined to
keep Sawyer from breaking his little sister’s heart. But as Sawyer and Jill’s
relationship heats up, can he prove that he’s her happy ever after?
Happy Ever After in Christmas (Christmas, Colorado #7) is the 2nd book that I have read in this series. I really need to read them all because I loved the last two books by Debbie Mason.
This story as the blurb states is about Jill and Sawyer. Sawyer is Jill’s brother Jacks best friend. Seems that Jill has always had a crush on Sawyer but Jack was so against Sawyer hooking up with his sister. Of course Jill didn’t know that but she really wanted him. Sawyer stayed away from her. Jill is a Deputy sheriff, she can handle everything on her own, except her love life.
Sawyer was a hockey player, but now he is back and wants to settle down in Christmas, but he has always been a player. He owns the bar called the Penalty Bar. There was also a penalty box for patrons who caused trouble would go there for time out. (I think that would have been something awesome to do when my kids where young.)
I love the character developments and I really loved both Jill and Sawyer’s character. I felt the author did a great job on their story. There were ups and downs. And I wasn’t even sure how it was going to end. Not saying anything about the ending. I don’t do spoilers. This I felt was a well written, with some good drama and family issues that can be annoying. Jill handled everything as can be expected with any type of drama.
If you love reading books that are a series with each couple having their own story, you really need to read this series. I loved the writing style and so far the characters. I did give it 5 stars because I loved it.
